Battle Royale

So this past friday, Brenden and I had Lego Battle Royale.

He had the Knights and the Pirates, I had the Spacemen. It was a battle to the death.

we begin to set up
the battle begins

Brenden sets up his castle - note the tongue. A highly necessary ability when planning strategy.
the boy's castle

I set up mine. He gave me his smaller castle to have. other wise I would have no base of operations! I also had to have a place to put my think tanks of tacticians. That's them on the left with only two guards. The general is up on top with the yellow visor.
the think tank

this is a close up of his battlements. hardcore defense there. i'm not sure how he convinced the merry men to fight along side the colonials and knights, but an invading force from space can sure unite a strange group of people to defend their home.
ready for the fight

I didn't have nearly his number out front. already the redshirts have passed out from fear. poor redshirts
oh crap!

he went for sheer number. my spacemen thought themselves superior with their laser weapons, spaceships and think tank. sad sorry little spacemen. The hubris of technology.

It was a fierce battle. Full of flying horses, the redshirt massacre by catapult ( he started flinging them at each other!), a severely damaged spaceship falling out of the sky and crashing into his castle(my pilot's last ditch effort to turn the battle. it failed), fireballs and other viciousness.

plus his wizard was healing his troops as his pirates tore mine apart. My ninja armed with a giant lightsaber could only do so much before his old blue wizard smote him down with lightning.

the carnage:
oh the humanity

castle down

this one features a happy victor presiding over the spoils of war

battlefield 2

notice the decapitated head in the upper right. bloody vicious pirates!
battlefiled 3

battlefield 4

The spacemen never stood a chance against his magic, steel and wood. Plus he had a little sister and her horse drawn weapon cart. handy that.
