25 facts abou tmy jobs

Jobs I have had and stories about them:

1. Bagging tea for Celestial Seasonings in boulder in 86. yes. let it go.

2. House sitting for Mrs. Anderson in Sacramento in highschool. She paid good money to watch her dogs.

3. Concessions at the Cinedome on Greenback the summer of 94. Pop corn is not so appealing now.

4. Cafeteria, (94-95) Student Services and the Housing office(94-98) at MCAD. I was assistant housing director by the time I left.

5. California Department of Food and Agriculture - Summer of 96 -long term temp

6. Bellman for the Raddison Hotel Sacramento -Fall of 98

7. Bookseller A&S Bargain books in Burbank. Where I met Michelle. Say A&S quickly. people look at you funny. ( cleaning up the sewage erupting from the floor was NOT part of my job description)

8. Various Temp jobs around LA. KCET (Spielberg is a member), Hallmark Channel (hung up on So many people. oops), Some design firm in Venice

9. Paramount Pictures Financial Planning Department. Copy-steward. Yuck.

10: Enter Hell: City of Los Angeles,Department of Building and Safety: Financial Services. I slogged 4 years here to provide some much needed job security to my new family. Typing elevator inspections into the mainframe is NOT a good use of time, energy or creativity.

11. City of LA. Department of Cultural Affairs - Barnsdall Art Center- Office Manager I am here currently.

When at paramount :
12. Mel Gibson almost ran me over with his golfcart.

13. The Angel trailers were right outside my building. Dave and Charisma are cool people.

14. Soleil Moon Fry and Melissa Joan Hart are TINY. I mean really small. minute.

15. Chris Rock is a talkative fellow. Robert Picardo is not. Huge entourage around that guy.

16. Jonathan Frakes is surprisingly tall and has a great laugh.

17. on Sept 12, 2001, after working overtime on the budget, my car broke down at midnight on Santa Monica. I pulled over to find a phone as I had cancelled my cell plan due to low funds. I cross the street and use the pay phone. Two guys (whose driveway i pulled into) help me push my car to a better spot after freaking out that the car was a bomb.

18. Received a DVD player as a parting gift from my department.

19. Vince McMahon walks like a sherman tank.

20. Henry Winkler and Sean Astin are small dudes.

21. Make friends with all of the assistants if you need anything from their bosses. sorta common knowledge here in town.

While at Bldg & Safety
22. It states in Ben Affleck's contract that he cannot ride in an elevator with out a current operating permit. We had the daredevil shoot on a standstill for days. Too bad I couldn't have stopped it altogether.

23. People get really ticked off when they have to pay for something that isn't theirs.

At Barnsdall
24. Tom Sizemore used to come hang out on our patio. Don't think he can do that any more.

25. There is a mural buried in the hill outside my office. I had one of the students that help make it stormed in demanding to know where it was. She was sad when I told her.
